A touch of Wabi Sabi with New Art on Paper by Moos Willemsen in my webshop

A touch of Wabi Sabi with New Art on Paper by Moos Willemsen in my webshop

During our Pop-Up I got to know Dutch artist Moos Willemsen, she mostly showed her Black & white work that weekend, perfectly fitting the vibe of my own webshop products, and the other participants. Recently I visited her atelier to see more of her work and loved the Wabi Sabi vibe of two of her works.

I am happy to introduce two new ‘Art on Paper’ originals by Moos Willemsen, now available in my online store. Moos is known for her intuitive, tactile way of working, guided by color, shape, and the feel of materials. Her pieces have a quiet depth, a softness that instantly brings warmth and harmony into a space, especially as the days grow colder I personally love to add the dark brown and warm tones of these works to my home.

Art on Paper

Both works are hand painted with pigment on handmade 100% cotton paper. This beautifully crafted paper is made from cotton rags and has a long, exceptionally strong grain. Each sheet is formed with natural scoop edges, then bonded to fabric and finished with gelatin, resulting in a material with subtle irregularities, soft boundaries, and a distinct wabi sabi character. No two sheets are ever perfectly straight or identical, giving them a uniqueness that adds to their charm and presence.

These new pieces fit seamlessly within the vosgesparis aesthetic: muted tones, rich texture, and a sense of calm that feels both modern and timeless. I just added them to the shop and you can find them here under Home Decor.
