One of the biggest updates to come out of Adobe MAX 2025 is something that’s going to make photographers everywhere very happy—AI Assisted Culling in Lightroom.
If you’ve ever come home from a shoot with hundreds (or thousands) of photos to go through, you know how time-consuming that can be. Well, this new feature uses AI to do the heavy lifting for you—it flags your best shots and filters out those where your subject is out of focus, or it’s a misfire, or it’s a shot of your foot, etc., or shots where your subject’s eyes are closed or not visible.
I’ve been testing it out, and honestly, it’s really good. It’s fast, accurate, and can save you hours of sorting time. In this short clip from last week’s Grid, I show you how it works and why I think this might just become one of Lightroom’s most useful tools yet.
