I’m Leading a Local Walk in Tarpon Springs, Florida
I’m excited to be leading my walk at the historic Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. We’ll start our leisurely photographic stroll at one end of famous Dodecanese Blvd, capturing vibrant sights, Greek heritage, and waterfront charm as we explore one of Florida’s most unique destinations. At the end of the walk, we’ll end up at my favorite Greek restaurant, Hellas (the most authentic Greek restaurant outside of Greece). Here’s a throwback to the group shot from my last walk here in 2010!

Don’t Forget to Wear Really Comfortable Shoes
You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so make sure you wear shoes that make your feet happy. And, don’t forget sunscreen (or a raincoat, depending on the weather where you’re walking).
Charge Your Camera Batteries Tonight
Don’t forget to charge your camera batteries, clean your lenses, and make sure you’ve got an empty memory card and a backup.
Bring LOTS of Water (and Drink Lots of Water!)
This is key! You don’t want to dehydrate on your walk—you want to have 100% fun the whole time. So make sure you drink plenty of water before the walk, and during the walk. It makes a big difference in your enjoyment of the walk and your safety and well-being.
The Most Important Thing Is… That You Stay Safe
Look out for each other on the walk. Don’t go into scary-looking areas, traipsing down deserted alleys, or anyplace that looks unsavory. Don’t get distracted by shooting—you don’t want to bump into or trip over anything.
