Previously I showed you An Antwerp Residence by Jessy van Gorp where natural materials, such as the beautiful pink table, were a real eye catcher. Today I’d love to show you a next project by Belgian designer Jessy van Gorp where it were the curves in the stainless steel kitchen island combined with wood was what caught my eye in the first place. This 200 square meters home is a first story apartment within a large new construction project.
“The Infinitum project reflects harmony and balance” says Jessy and designed to immerse residents in the serene beauty of the North Sea at Zeebrugge at the Belgian Coast. With breathtaking coastal views, every design element is meticulously crafted to create a warm, functional, and tranquil living environment, seamlessly integrating the essence of the coastal lifestyle.home.
Wood and steel kitchen
At the kitchen a stainless steel kitchen island is combined with glossy, deeply sanded oak, featuring a breakfast bar area and oak barstools. The bar area features a wine cabinet concealed behind sleek pocket doors and appliances are hidden. Throughout the home we see a colour palette of warm light grey tones, contrasted with dark brown and ginger/caramel accents, highlighted with brushed stainless steel. n the glass extension with 180° sea views a made-to-measure dining table, with tabletop crafted from bespoke lime terrazzo, and paired with heavily wire-brushed oak.
Art and Decorative Objects
Most art pieces and decorative objects are custom-made (often with reclaimed project materials) to harmonize with the interior design, enhancing the project’s uniqueness and sophistication. In the living a made-to-measure island sofa, bioethanol fireplace, and concealed TV behind a decorative panel. The large custom-made swivel lounge chairs add a pop of colour and warmth. Bedrooms and shower cells
The home has 3 bedrooms, with custom storage solutions such as freestanding swivelling cabinets and shower cells integrated into cabinetry, optimizing space and functionality. A bespoke silver bedroom headboard with matching bedside tables crafted from heavily wire-brushed oak combined with soft textiles. In the wet areas we see different materials such as natural lime plasters and recycled mosaics. In one of the bedrooms
