The best Mac mini deals and lowest Mac mini prices can be found on this page, thanks to our live widget that pulls in the best deals as and when they come up. But which Mac mini should you consider, and what exactly makes a decent Mac mini deal? Here’s our breakdown…
The most recent iteration of the Mac mini, with it’s Apple-made M1 chip came out in November 2020, with two models. The first retails at $699/£699 and comes with 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU (ie, the M1 chip), 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.
If you want all of that, but with more storage (512GB SSD to be exact), then that retails at $899/£899. These are the starting specs and the starting prices, but with both you can add a bit of unified memory here, SSD storage there, and the price will reflect it. Then there’s the Intel Core Mac mini…
Even though Apple released a Mac mini with its own M1 chip, the company still sells the Intel Core model in its stores. That’s because the Intel Mac mini is still a great PC, and is largely unchanged since 2018. But at retail price, you will have to dig out some cash for it. Currently starting at $1,099/£1,099, the Intel Mac mini comes with 3.0GHz Intel Core i5 6-Core Processor with Intel UHD Graphics 630
512GB Storage. For more on the best mac mini deals and prices, scroll down to the best Mac mini model for you and read on.

The best Mac mini deals right now
This is the best Mac to get if you’re on a budget but need a powerful reliable computer. Apple’s M1 chip changes the game when it comes to performance making this a very mighty mini package, while the classic Mac mini design remains in place.
With three times faster CPU performance and six times faster graphical performance compared to the previous model (see below), you’ll be able to play AAA games, zip through detailed video editing software at 8K, and run iOS apps as you wish. But what constitutes a good Mac mini deal?
Retailing at $699/£699 for the entry level model, we’ve seen reductions take that down to $629/£599 on some of the big retail events, such as Black Friday or Memorial Day 2022. But even at the retail price, this is a fantastic amount of cutting edge tech for your buck. Of course, if you’re not too fussed about the tech, and want a Mac mini for potentially an even better price, you can always try the Intel Mac mini…
We wait for meaningful updates for the Mac mini for ages, then two come along at once! The classic Intel Mac mini model also got a refresh in 2020, with the main difference being Apple gave this iteration more options for extended storage and RAM. You will pay for those options though.
It’s worth mentioning that other elements – from the design to the processor – are similar if not the same to the 2018 iteration. Which were great, just not cutting-edge-M1-great. Yet the majority of people getting a Mac mini are after a handy PC for remote working that won’t take much space, and can be easily moved location with you with no fuss. So this model is still definitely relevant.
However, with the base M1 Mac mini model breathing down its neck at $699/£699 or less, you’ll definitely want to find a great Mac mini deal to justify not going for the Apple-chipped version. Consider pre-2020 models, which may reduce the price considerably. You may also see some renewed models come up in the deals options here, and that might mean taking the price down to $199/£199. The best Mac mini deals we’ve seen on brand new Intel models have been $543.99 for an i3 core, 256GB SSD model.
Also consider that a lot of the deals that you see below are high because the configurations are jacked up. There’s definitely still a great Mac mini deal to be found on this model that will suit your needs.
